Two other victims who died in crash were said to be senior employees of Circuit Breaker Industries (CBI), a division of electrical engineering company Reunert, a client with operations in Lesotho which Deloitte employees were en route to visit.

"We have had confirmation that all six people did not survive. CBI is a division of Reunert, a large client of Deloitte," Deloitte was reported to have said in a communique. "We are all in shock and devastated at this news. We are currently focusing on providing support to the families of the victims as well as their colleagues at Deloitte," chief executive officer Allen Swiegers was further quoted in a statement.

Reports from South Africa said that the small aircraft took off from Randburg airport at 8:10a.m. local time and started experiencing problems just 2km from airport, with pilot said to have requested emergency landing, before their plane came down near Germiston's Wesbank Raceway.

Reports further said aircraft broke up and burst into flames as it came down near busy highway. A more similar crash was recorded in August where one person died and two were injured when their light aircraft crashed into a stream near golf course, opposite the airport. Investigations into the crash were said to have already been launched.
